Allen Allows a school nurse to administer asthma-related rescue medication to a student experiencing an asthma attack.
HB 1199 Sifton Prohibits an insurer from requiring any waiting period for health insurance coverage for maternity benefits and requires coverage to begin immediately from the effective date of the policy or plan.
HB 1262 Brown-50 Requires the State Board of Education to establish a coordinated health program board to develop a program on the prevention of student obesity, cardiovascular disease, and type II diabetes.

Colona Allows an employee who is injured on the job to select his or her own health care provider to cure and relieve the effects of the injury at the expense of the employer.
HB 1478 Still Increases the tax on tobacco products and the excise tax on cigarettes of $.17 per pack of 20 cigarettes to $.89 per pack for public education purposes.
HB 1486 Nasheed Increases the excise tax on cigarettes from 17 cents to 33 cents per pack of 20 cigarettes to be deposited, less a 3% collection fee, into the General Revenue Fund.

HB 1541 Jones-89 Establishes the conscience rights of all individuals who provide health care services to not participate in certain medical services.

HB 1581 Hodges, Jr. Requires all health carriers and health benefit plans providing prescription drug coverage to allow insureds to fill mail order prescriptions at either participating mail order pharmacies or retail.
HB 1603 Hough Prohibits health carriers from denying reimbursement to licensed athletic trainers who provide covered services within their scope of practice.
HB 1673 Ellinger Increases the excise tax on cigarettes of 17 cents per pack of 20 cigarettes by 4 cents per pack per year for four years until the excise tax on cigarettes reaches 33 cents per pack.

HB 1890 Molendorp Requires an actuarial analysis of the cost impact of certain health insurance mandates.
HB 1937 Cauthorn Requires every person riding a bicycle on a state road or highway to wear a reflective vest.
HB 1951 Schoeller Removes the for gross negligence exception from personal liability for members of the State Board of Chiropractic Examiners for acts committed in the performance of their official duties.
